mise-en-sen
in search of life 24 frames per second
welcome to mise-en-sen
mise-en-sen is the expression, which I borrowed and twisted it for naming my site from the French term ‘mise-en-scène‘ . When applied to the cinema, ‘mise-en-scène’ refers to everything that appears before the camera and its arrangement – sets, props, actors, costumes, and lighting.
I’m Gautam SEN and here you’ll find everything about me, my interests and my search for a life 24 frames per second. So I named it as ‘mise-en-sen‘.

"Film as dream, film as music. No art passes our conscience in the way film does, and goes directly to our feelings, deep down into the dark rooms of our souls."
